Our Mineral Balance
CALCIUM
Levels in the blood and fluid surrounding the cells must be maintained within a very narrow concentration range for normal physiological functioning. The functions of calcium are so vital that the body will demineralize bone to maintain normal blood calcium levels when calcium intake is inadequate.
MAGNESIUM
Required for the active transport of potassium and calcium across cell membranes. Affects the conduction of nerve impulses, muscle contraction, and normal rhythm of the heart. Involved in more than 300 essential metabolic reactions.
POTASIUM
Essential dietary mineral functioning as an electrolyte, a substance that dissociates into ions in solution making it capable of conducting
electricity. Potassium is the principal positively charged ion (cation) inside of cells.
SILICA
Silica is utilized in the development of collagen found in bone and connective tissues. It assists in tissue repair and it helps our arteries maintain their elastic properties thereby reducing the risk of heart disease.
PH VALUE OF THE WATER
The pH balance indicates the degree of alkalinity (acidity) of the water. The acid field is between 0 and 7. Above 7, it is "alkaline". Water imbibed above 7.0 helps to re-alkalinize the human body providing many excellent health benefits.
TDS
TDS stands for total dissolved solids, and represents the total concentration of dissolved substances in water.
